Julie Pappas Smith received her BFA in musical theatre from the Boston Conservatory of Music. Her dance studies continues in NYC at Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway and the Marblehead School of Ballet where Ms. Smith began her professional training. Julie Smith is a mentor for the Zena Rommett Floor-Barre Technique® Foundation studying with Zena for over 15 yrs. She is has certified in IM=X Pilates floor and reformer, Dance for Parkinsons Disease and Zumba.
Julie has had the pleasure of teaching at UM, FIU, NWSA HighSchool and College in the theatre department and is summer faculty at The Boston Conservatory of Music Musical Theatre Summer Dance Intensive. Ms. Smith is also on faculty in the summer for the intensives at Miami City Ballet and Marblehead School of Ballet where she teaches Floor-Barre, Pilates and Jazz. Julie Pappas Smith has traveled the world with Broadway National Touring Company’s, performed at Disney World and Tokyo Disney. As a singer, she has performed on Carnival and NCL Cruise lines.
Ms. Pappas Smith is also a resident choreographer at Southwood Middle School Drama magnet, Belen Jesuit Prep, Gulliver Prep and guest teaches around the Miami-Dade and New England area and teaches vocal lessons to students who are interested in a professional career. Her desires are now all about passing on the gifts and quality of training to those who have the passion to be anything and all they desire to be. Julie has dedicated her work to helping students achieve their dreams.
